Welcome to Camp!
Camp Oasis provides a summer full of sports, cool crafts, fun field trips, and awesome projects. Our days are filled with enriching activities including sports, music lessons, science experiments, and multiple fieldtrips to name a few. Who says fun and learning have to be exclusive? While we are having fun, Camp Oasis emphasizes character development. Campers at Camp Oasis learn and demonstrate teamwork, leadership, perseverance, self-confidence, kindness and empathy.

Our History
Camp Oasis started in 2022 under the former name of Camp Wanarunarownd. It began as a collaborative Vacation Bible School program between the Ottawa and Ottawa East Seventh-day Adventist Churches. Last year, we welcomed 114 children into our camp family. We provided exciting and enriching activities daily, went on 2 different field trips, enjoyed a drumming workshop, jumped on bouncers, and did many more fun activities. Campers spent over 500 hours playing outside, singing, and making lasting memories. This first camp experience is the foundation of which Camp Oasis is built on for this year's awesome program.
Our Vision
To offer Ottawa a distinctly affordable summer camp where children feel safe and experience growth.
Our Mission
To provide high-quality summer programming in Ottawa Vanier for all children, with a dedicated focus on racialized youth that is accessible and promotes holistic wellness, regardless of socio-economic status.
Who Are We?
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant church with approximately 19 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America. The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance quality of life for people everywhere and to let people know that Jesus is coming again soon.
Our Church is a local hub and centre of influence in our local Ottawa community. Our activities include programming for men, women, youth, children, singles, parents, seniors and our community at large. Activities that we conduct include monthly Seniors Clubs, Friday evening vespers, meal services for the homeless, Family camping opportunities, uniformed clubs similar to Scouts, fundays, sporting events, retreats and training opportunities. Our largest activities are weekly Worship and Prayer Services on Saturdays and Wednesdays. All services, activities and programs are open to and serve the local members of the church and the local community that the church is located in.
So What's the Catch?
There is NO catch! We believe that children are precious to God and close to His heart. It is our duty to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children can discover God's love for them, while growing and discovering themselves... and summer camp is the perfect place to do that! Summer camps provide children with the opportunity to make more friends, participate in more physical activity, and develop self-confidence, resiliency, and emotional awareness -- all while having fun! Unfortunately, many such activities place a large financial burden on families, which means that some children are not able to participate. Our goal is to provide this opportunity to children in Ottawa at an affordable cost to eliminate the cost barrier to families.
